Sign Designer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Draw plans, maps and sketches using specialized software such as CorelDraw, Photoshop and Illustrator under

illuminated or non-illuminated sign projects.

  • Ensure that all norms, graphics and technical standards in drawing production are respected and ensure that drawings and sketches conform to the initial specifications.
  • Produce drawings and scale models based on reference documents. Cooperate with the different project managers to collect the data required for the design of detailed plans, determine the preparatory elements of the project from the information received.
  • List and check all the produced documentation, and attend the design team meetings.
  • Carry out all other relevant tasks that may help in the completion of projects.

Skills Required:

  • College diploma in graphic or industrial design, professional studies diploma in building design, industrial design, or any other training considered equivalent to the above.
  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design software (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Excellent command of common office automation software.
  • Ability to read architectural and building plans. This is regarded as an asset.
  • High motivation. Interpersonal skills, reliability, initiative and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and team work skills.
  • Bilingual English/French, verbal and written comprehension.
  • College diploma in graphic or industrial design, professional studies diploma in building design, industrial design, or any other training considered equivalent to the above.

Project Manager

The project manager is in charge of the organization and coordination of their project activities. They work in close collaboration with the representatives, with the objective to collect the information required to open and develop the file.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an efficient communication, as well the collaboration between the persons involved in the project.
  • They must also exercise control over the scope, deadlines and budgets for the projects worked on. Coordinate the internal resources and third parties / suppliers to ensure the perfect execution of signage projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed within the allocated deadline, within the scope of work and budget.
  • Ensure the availability of resources and their distribution.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and follow up on progress.
  • Use the tools already in place, manage the changes affecting the project, in terms of scope, deadlines and costs.
  • Report and, if necessary, escalate any difficulties to their superior. – Successfully manage client relations as well as all the parties involved.
  • Manage risk with the objective to minimize the risks related to the project.
  • Establish and maintain good relations with third parties / suppliers.
  • Create and maintain a complete documentation file related to the project.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite software. Bilingual (English and French)
  • Reading and understanding of plans.
  • Initiative, autonomy and professionalism.
  • Be motivated and dynamic.
  • Be organized and be able to prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills and good team spirit.

Tinsmith, Welder and Sign Assembler

We are currently looking for a tinsmith and a sign assembler for our Laval factory.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read plans.
  • Prepare and assemble aluminum signs.
  • Cut, fabricate and assemble all sorts of objects made out of metal sheets.
  • Operate traditional or digital control machine tools (boring machine, drilling machine, folding machine, point welder, hydraulic or electric hacksaw, etc.) used in the manufacture of signs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of the equipment.

Skills Required:

  • Math skills (arithmetic and geometry) to calculate and measure quickly and accurately.
  • Have excellent eyesight and be healthy.
  • Have a good spatial sense.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings.
  • Technical drawing skills.
  • Good ability and manual dexterity to efficiently manipulate metal parts.
  • Meticulousness, accuracy, attention to detail to work on parts and ensure their quality.
  • Good logical sense and sense of analytics, since the applicant will have to solve problems related to the assembly.
  • Easy to work in a team and good collaboration with others.

Painter or Assistant Painter in Industrial Spray Painting

We are currently looking for a painter or assistant in industrial spray painting for sign painting at our Laval factory.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Paint signs and metal parts with an air-assisted spray gun;
  • Ensure that the work is done properly and neatly;
  • Ensure that all painted parts are correctly counted;
  • Maintain paint inventories;
  • Maintenance of the equipment.

Skills Required:

  • Training in industrial painting or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years experience in industrial painting
  • Knowledge of industrial painting (painting techniques and equipment)

We are currently looking for a manufacturer of illuminated and non-illuminated signs (M/F).
Main Responsibilities:
• Manufacture, in the workshop, illuminated and non-illuminated signs.
• Manual labor in the workshop, such as cutting, sanding, vinyl lettering application, assembly of parts, montaging of sign elements, etc.
• Filling and cutting of material.
• Preparation for painting.
• Welding.
